GEOCHEMICAL EVALUATIONS TO DEVELOP MINE CLOSURE PLANS AT PHELPS DODGE TYRONE MINE

SARB Consulting has been contracted to perform geochemical evaluations of Pit Lakes, Tailings and Waste Rocks and their potential impact on surface and groundwater for a copper mine in New Mexico. The work involves field investigations (drilling and sample collection) data evaluation, geochemical process estimation, geochemical modeling, remediation/reclamation evaluation and negotiations with regulatory agencies. The work is in support of the mine's closure/closeout plans required by state law.
 

Mine Permitting, Little Rock, PROJECT, Phelps Dodge Tyrone Mine, New Mexico

SARB Consulting has been assisting Phelps Dodge Tyrone mine on permitting issues associated with the Little Rock mine project.  The assistance include evaluation of Acid Rock Drainage potential performing pit lake water quality modeling, preparing work plans, negotiating with regulatory agencies etc.,

Mine Permitting, rock quarry, Ballangen Aggregates, Norway

Ballangen Aggregates are working on establishing a rock quarry on the property of Nickel-Olivin AS (Outocumpo Oy) in Northern Norway.  SARB Consulting prepared and environmental assessment for aggregates project and evaluated it's effect on the closed and reclaimed nickel mine.

Site Assessment, Permitting, LKAB, Narvik, Norway

SARB Consulting has been assisting LKAB's mine product storage facility in Narvik in developing a new harbor facility.  SARB has preformed an Environmental Assessment of the current facility and evaluated how a change of operation will affect the environment.  The work included presentations for and discussions with regulatory agencies.

Closure Plans Kiruna, Malmberget, AND Svappavarra, LKAB Sweden,

SARB Consulting was contracted to develop closure plans for the three iron mining facilities of LKAB in Northern Sweden.  These closure plans were developed in order to fulfill regulatory requirements and plans were submitted to the local County Board.

MINE PERMITTING PREPARATION, CENTER MINE, NEW MEXICO

SARB is presently performing work for Royal Minerals, to prepare discharge permits, a mining permit, and closeout plans in accordance with the New Mexico State regulations. In particular, SARB is assisting the client in understanding and following state guidelines for initiating a small-scale mining operation.

Mine Permitting, Nalunaq Gold, Greenland

Nalunaq Gold is a mining operation operated by Crew Mining.  SARB was contracted to help with issues regarding geology data base, waste rock reactivity and waste disposal (land contra fjord based disposal).

Mine Permitting - legal Issues, Røros Mining District, Crew Mining, Norway

SARB was contracted to assist Crew Mining with legal/permitting issues associated with their exploration effort in the Røros Mining District.
